San Diego County Crime Stoppers is working with investigators from the San Diego Regional Fraud Task Force and asking for assistance from the public in locating Mario Chavez. Chavez is wanted in connection with a series of crimes involving the passing of counterfeit U.S. currency throughout San Diego County. Chavez targets sellers offering mobile phones for sale on sites such as “Offer Up”, “Let Go” and classified ads posted on “Craigslist”. Chavez makes contact with the seller through the app or by texting. Chavez will agree to a price and pays for the mobile device in cash. In most cases, the victim does not discover the money they received from Chavez was counterfeit until after Chavez has already left with the device. Chavez is known to use force or flee if confronted by a seller. 

Mario Kevin Chavez is a Hispanic male, 27-years-old, 6’3” tall, weighs 295 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Blanca Estella Montano has 2 felony warrants with a total of $111, 000 bail. First warrant is for identity theft; second warrant is felony transportation of a controlled substance.

Criminal history includes: burglary, escaping jail, battery, credit card fraud, transportation of controlled substance, and identity theft.

She is known to frequent the East County but also has ties to Escondido.

Edward Galvez Flores

Edward Flores is wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for violating the terms and conditions of his parole (no bail).  Flores is on parole for failing to register as a sex offender.  Flores has previous convictions for parole violations, failing to register as a sex offender, indecent exposure, and narcotics possession.  Flores is known to frequent El Cajon, Imperial Beach, and the Paradise Hills area of San Diego.

Unknown Suspects Wanted for Burglary Series

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered  

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Northeastern and Eastern Divisions, along with investigators from the La Mesa Police Department, are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating three suspects who are wanted for a series of residential burglaries. 

On August 13, 2017, at approximately 3:30 p.m., an unknown female rang the doorbell of a residence located in the 6300 block of Glenmont Street, in the Del Cerro area of San Diego. No one answered the front door. Two unknown males broke a rear sliding glass door, entered the home, and stole several items.   

Later that same day, at 4:30 p.m., the same female rang the doorbell of a residence located in the 5700 block of Jackson Drive, in La Mesa. The female asked the homeowner if “Tony” lived there. The homeowner told the female that she had the wrong house. The homeowner left the house and returned several hours later to discover his rear sliding glass door was shattered and three bedrooms had been ransacked. The suspects stole over $7,600 worth of jewelry and miscellaneous items. 

On August 29, 2017, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the same female and two males burglarized a residence in the 13000 block of Calderon Road in the Rancho Penasquitos area of San Diego. The suspects gained entry into the house by breaking a rear sliding glass door. The suspects stole numerous high end purses totaling over $10,000 in value.   

Suspect’s Description: 

The female suspect is described as Asian, in her 20’s, thin build, wears large black frame glasses, long bright green painted fingernails, and has a tattoo on her left forearm. 

Both male suspects are described as being Black, in their 20’s, approximately 5’8” tall, and had thin builds. The suspects are seen using a black Chrysler 200 with paper plates. The suspects may also be using a four-door white Mercedes.

Alan Pliego is wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for violating the terms and conditions of his parole. Pliego is currently on parole for auto theft. Pliego has previous convictions for auto theft, burglary, robbery, and parole violation.  Pliego is known to frequent the Mid-City area of San Diego.

Keith Rogers is wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for violating the terms and conditions of his parole (no bail).  Rogers is currently on parole for failing to register as a sex offender.  Rogers has previous convictions for parole violations, indecent exposure, battery, and stalking.  Rogers is known to use the trolley and frequents the trolley stops near the Mission Valley mall, Fashion Valley Mall, Horton Plaza, and in Southeastern San Diego.

Lucas Desmond is wanted by the San Diego Fugitive Task Force for an outstanding felony warrant ($ 100,000) for his arrest.  The warrant is for felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, and possession of a controlled substance while being armed.  Desmond has previous convictions for auto theft, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and grand theft.  Desmond is known to frequent the Oceanside and Vista area.

Esteban Ramirez Aguilar

 San Diego County Crime Stoppers is working with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Fugitive Task Force to find and arrest 29-year-old Esteban Ramirez Aguilar.  He has two no bail felony arrest warrants for assault with a deadly weapon and DUI.  He has a prior conviction for DUI.

Esteban Ramirez Aguilar is a Hispanic male, standing 5’8” tall and weighing about 150 lbs.  He has black hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the North County area of San Diego.

Eddie Torres is wanted by the California Parole Apprehension Team for failing to comply with the terms and conditions of his parole.  Torres is considered a parolee at large.  Torres is currently on parole from a conviction for assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer.   Torres has previous convictions for narcotics possession, resisting arrest, possession of a dangerous weapon, stolen vehicle, multiple DUI’s, and multiple parole violations.  Torres frequents the North County area. 

Unknown Suspect Wanted for Felony Hit and Run

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered 

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the driver that struck a pedestrian in the Claremont area of San Diego. 

On April 30, 2017, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a 37-year-old woman was struck by a black Honda Civic, while legally crossing the intersection of 5200 Mt. Edna Drive and 4200 Genesee Avenue. The driver momentarily stopped his black Honda Civic along the west curb line, 4200 Genesee Avenue, facing south. He approached the victim and witnesses, but then got back inside his car, and drove away southbound on Genesee Avenue.  The victim suffered serious injuries.  

The hit and run driver was described as a White male, with blue eyes and short blond hair. He was described as being in his 40s to 50s, standing about 5’9” tall, and weighing between 180 to 200 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue or gray T-shirt, with an emblem on his left chest, cargo shorts with a green stripe, and tennis shoes.

Unknown Suspect Wanted for Sexual Assault

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect responsible for a sexual assault in the Encanto area.

On May 21, 2017, at approximately 8:40 a.m., an unknown adult male suspect entered a motor home, which was parked in a driveway of a residence located in the 500 block of 60th Street, in San Diego. The adult female victim woke up and saw the suspect standing over her. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim. The victim screamed and pushed the suspect away from her. The suspect left the motorhome and fled the area on foot.  

Suspect Description:

The suspect is described as a Black male, mid 20’s, 5’8” to 5’9” tall, weighing 180 to 190 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

Bobby Luca is wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for violating the terms and conditions of his parole.  Luca is currently on parole for failing to register as a sex offender.  Luca has multiple previous convictions for failing to register as a sex offender along with multiple parole violations.  Luca also has past convictions for criminal threats and assault.  Luca is considered armed and dangerous.  Luca frequents the Pacific Beach area of San Diego.

Unknown Suspect Wanted for Bank Robbery

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the FBI are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating an unknown suspect wanted in connection with a bank robbery in San Diego. 

On June 5, 2017, at approximately 11:00 am, a male suspect walked into the Union Bank, located at 6010 El Cajon Blvd in San Diego and presented a demand note to a bank teller.  The demand note indicated that he had a gun. The teller complied with the suspect’s demands and have him an undisclosed amount of money.  The suspect fled the bank on foot.

Suspect’s Description:
The robber is described as an African-American male, with braided hair, standing approximately 6'00", with a stocky build. The robber was last seen wearing a tan jacket, with a plaid shirt, and unknown type of pants.
