On August 20, 2016, at about 2:40 a.m., Edgar Hernandez Saavedra was arguing with Miguel Luis Castillo while they were standing in front of Edgar’s residence which is located on the 800 block of Langford Street in Oceanside. During the argument, Edgar Hernandez Saavedra shot and killed Miguel Luis Castillo with a semi-automatic handgun.
Edgar Hernandez Saavedra is a 29-year-old Hispanic male. He has brown hair and brown eyes, stands about 5’6” tall and weighs 175 lbs. He is a documented gang member who is also known as “Little Edgar” and “Smalls”.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Station are asking for the public's help to locate an unknown suspect wanted in connection with theft, burglary, and fraud.
On April 1, 2018, between 12:00 – 1:45 p.m., an unknown suspect stole a checkbook from the glovebox of a vehicle that was parked on the 2100 block of Merlyn Place in unincorporated El Cajon. At about 2:00 p.m., the suspect, using someone else’s identification card, attempted to cash one of the stolen checks at the Money Tree, located at 303 North 2nd Street in the City of El Cajon. Money Tree contacted the victim, who confirmed the check was fraudulent. Money Tree refused to cash the check and the suspect left in a Burgundy, four-door, Toyota Avalon.
The suspect is described as a White male between 25 to 35-years-old with short, brown hair. He stands about 5’7” tall and weighs approximately 165 lbs. The suspect was last seen wearing sunglasses, a white shirt, black shorts, and white shoes.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the driver that struck a pedestrian in the Ocean Beach area of San Diego.
On April 9, 2018, at six minutes after midnight, a 26-year-old good samaritan (victim) stopped to assist a disabled motorist who was parked along the west curb line of the 2900 block of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard near Robb Field. While the victim was standing next to the disabled vehicle, an unknown suspect driving southbound on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard struck the victim and the disabled vehicle. The suspect continued driving southbound and fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital and sustained a fractured lower right leg and other internal injuries. The victim is now recovering at home.
The suspect vehicle is described as a green 1998 or 1999 Subaru Outback Legacy wagon. The suspect vehicle will have right front end damage, including a damaged grill, fog lamp and right side mirror.

Investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Robbery Unit are asking for the public’s help in locating an unknown suspect wanted for a commercial armed robbery of Randy’s Mini Market located in the El Cerrito area of San Diego.
On April 16, 2018, at approximately 9:25 p.m., an unknown adult male suspect walked into Randy’s Mini Market, located at 5739 El Cajon Boulevard, in San Diego. The suspect approached the clerk at the counter and pointed a black semi auto handgun at him. The suspect demanded money from the cash register and the clerk complied. The suspect placed an undisclosed amount of cash into the pocket of his hooded jacket and was last seen walking eastbound on El Cajon Boulevard.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 40 to 50-years-old, approximately 6’0” tall, 280 to 300 plus lbs., mustache, short hair, wearing a black zip-up style hooded jacket, a gray sports jersey with the Oakland Raiders logo on the front, black jeans, black tennis shoes, black gloves with reflective stripes on top, and black sunglasses.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division continue to ask for the public’s help in identifying and locating the driver that struck and killed a pedestrian in the Mission Hills area of San Diego.
On March 22, 2018, at approximately 12:22 a.m., a 57-year-old male was struck by a vehicle while he was crossing the 1300 block of W. Washington Avenue in the Mission Hills neighborhood of San Diego. After the collision, the vehicle fled the scene east on W. Washington Avenue. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit responded to the scene. Based on their investigation, they believe the suspect’s vehicle is a 2001–2002 Hyundai Sonata with likely damage to the front of the vehicle including its headlamps and or windshield.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Western Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating an unknown suspect who stabbed a victim multiple times in the Hillcrest area of San Diego.
On April 8, 2018, at 7:18 p.m., San Diego Police Officers responded to a radio call of a stabbing at the intersection of Richmond Street and University Avenue, in San Diego. Officers found a 51-year-old male lying on the sidewalk who was suffering from multiple stab wounds to his head and neck area. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The victim remains hospitalized but is expected to survive.
Investigators learned that the suspect was walking in the area approximately thirty minutes before the attack and appeared to be looking to fight a random person. The suspect originally threw a rock towards the victim and left the area. The suspect later saw the victim walking and began stabbing the victim multiple times in the head and neck. The suspect fled the area before police arrived.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 25 to 35-years-old, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, thin build, wearing a dark colored baseball hat, dark gray sweatshirt, and gray sweatpants.

Investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Robbery Unit are asking for the public’s help in locating an unknown suspect wanted for a commercial armed robbery of a Target store located in the Mission Valley area of San Diego.
On March 25, 2018, at approximately 10:00 p.m., a loss prevention officer (LPO) noticed a male inside the Target store located at 1288 Camino Del Rio North, in San Diego. The LPO recognized the male from previous encounters. As the LPO was monitoring the male, he saw the male grab three memory cards and attempt to remove them from their security cases. The male then went to the bedding area of the store and used a towel to conceal the cases. The male then removed one of the memory cards and placed it inside his pant pocket.
The LPO confronted the male. The male placed the towel on the ground and walked towards the exit. The LPO followed the male. As the male was near the exit door, he pulled out a folding razor knife from his waistband and told the LPO to stand back. The male left the store and was last seen getting into an early 2000’s gray Cadillac CTS.
The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 28-years-old, 6”0” tall, 170 lbs., wearing a tan colored long sleeve dress shirt, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Vista Sheriff’s Station are asking for the public's help to locate an unknown suspect wanted in connection with a lewd act on a 14-year-old girl.
On March 21, 2018 at about 7:00 p.m., a man walked into the Panda Express located at 20 Main Street in Vista and grabbed the buttocks of a 14-year-old girl while she was waiting in line to order food. The suspect never said anything and quickly exited the restaurant. He was last seen leaving the scene in a black sedan.
The suspect is described as a Black male between 35 to 45-years old, standing 5’9” tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

On February 26, 2018, a resident of Encinitas called the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station to report that someone had stolen her identity and tried to withdraw money from her bank account. The suspect also applied for, and received credit cards, in the victim’s name and made numerous charges on those fraudulent accounts.
Detectives later determined that the same suspect has stolen the personal identities of several individuals throughout San Diego and Riverside Counties. The suspect uses fraudulently manufactured identification cards and assumes the victims’ identities to make transactions at retail stores and financial institutions.
Two photographs of the suspect are attached on page two of this release. They are from two separate incidents that occurred in the City of Encinitas and the City of Poway. The person depicted is a White or Hispanic female, approximately 22 to 30 years of age, she had long red hair and may have green eyes. The suspect usually wears the same medical scrubs when using the victims’ information.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit continue to look for leads in the unsolved murder of Andrew Moore. September 8, 2018 will mark the eighteen year anniversary of Andrew’s death.
The crime occurred on September 8, 2000. Andrew Moore, a San Diego City College student, was murdered in his apartment in the 1300 block of 8th Avenue, in San Diego. As part of the crime, Andrew’s 1994 Suzuki Katana motorcycle was stolen. The motorcycle was recovered on October 17, 2000, in the 1300 block of 24th Street. The San Diego Police Department Homicide Unit has not yet identified the suspect(s) in this case and are asking for the community’s assistance.
Every year Andrew’s parents fly from Pennsylvania to San Diego to present a student at San Diego City College with a scholarship in Andrew’s name.

On June 10, 2016, at 1:17 p.m., San Diego Police Officers responded to a 911 call of a female not breathing inside of an apartment in the 7600 block of Mission Gorge Road. The female later identified as Krystal Mitchell, was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics. Detectives from the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene and determined that Mitchell was last seen alive with her boyfriend, Raymond McLeod. McLeod is believed to have fled to Mexico after Mitchell’s death and is now believed to be traveling in Central America. McLeod and Mitchell are from Phoenix, Arizona and were both visiting San Diego when the crime occurred.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit Division are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate an unknown suspect wanted for a sexual assault.
On March 14, 2018, at about 11:00 p.m., an adult female victim left a business located along University Avenue in the Hillcrest area and approached a vehicle that was waiting in the roadway. Believing it was the ride that was requested, the victim entered the vehicle and it drove away. A short time later, the male driver of the vehicle sexually assaulted the victim. The victim was released and police were called. Detectives are currently searching for additional witnesses and evidence.
The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male, about 40-years-old, having a receding hair line, and a mustache. The vehicle was described as being a dark colored 4-door sedan.

On February 25, 2018, at 10:49 a.m., San Diego Police Officers responded to the rear parking lot of 3675 Midway Drive to investigate a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Alexander Mazin suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite officers rendering medical aid to Mazin, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. San Diego Police Department Homicide Detectives determined that 41-year-old Ernesto Castellanos Martinez shot Mazin and then fled the area before police arrived.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Poway Sheriff’s Station are asking for the public's help to locate an unknown suspect wanted in connection with using a stolen credit card and identity theft.
On January 14, 2018, at about 11:30 a.m., an unknown female suspect stole a wallet from a woman who was shopping at the Vons, located at 13438 Poway Road in Poway. Within an hour, the suspect used four of the victim’s credit/debit cards to purchase several Visa gift cards and miscellaneous items in excess of $6,300 at the Target store, located in Poway, and two Rite Aid stores located in San Diego.
The suspect is described as a Black female, between 20 to 30-years-old, with a thin build and dark hair in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing a black/white jacket with the word "Pink" on the front, blue denim jeans, and black shoes.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Western Division are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate multiple suspects wanted for burglarizing the Hermes De Paris store at the Fashion Valley Mall.
On January 21, 2018, at 4:18 a.m., three vehicles arrived at the north entrance of the Fashion Valley Mall, located at 7007 Friars Road, in San Diego. A total of ten suspects got out of the vehicles and then forced entry into the Hermes De Paris store by using a pry bar to open the front door.
The suspects were inside the store for approximately two minutes and stole various items including purses, jewelry, and clothing. The total loss is estimated at over
$500,000. These suspects may be related to a statewide series were high-end department stores are being burglarized.
All of the suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts and gloves.
The suspects used three vehicles and each one had paper plates. The vehicles are described as a white Chevy Suburban, and two blue colored sedans (possibly imports).
Investigators conducting follow-ups have recently recovered surveillance photos of the suspects believed to be responsible for this crime.
