CAPTURED: Two suspects in Commercial Armed Robberies

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Robbery Unit are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating two unknown suspects for two commercial armed robberies. One case occurred at the Tepito Club (clothing store) in the Otay Mesa area of San Diego. The following day an armed robbery occurred at a Chevron gas station in Pacific Beach area of San Diego. It is believed the same suspects are responsible for both robberies. 

On July 28, 2019, at 1:22 p.m., an unknown female and unknown male suspect entered the Tepito Club located at 2364 Roll Drive, in San Diego. They selected numerous pieces of merchandise and approached the counter. The female suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied. The couple left the store and were last seen driving off in a blue Toyota Corolla. 

On July 29, 2019, at 4:07 p.m., an unknown female and an unknown male suspect entered the Chevron gas station located at 1575 Garnet Avenue, in San Diego. The suspects selected numerous items of merchandise. After selecting the items, the female pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the register. The clerk complied and the suspects left the scene on foot. 

Suspects’ Description: 

The female suspect is described as White, approximately 5’6” tall, thin build, wearing a black tank top and grey leggings. 

The male suspect is described as White, medium build, 30-years-old with tattoos.

Suspect Captured for Felony Battery

UP TO A $1000 Reward.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Western Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating an unknown suspect involved in a felony battery case in the Midway area. 

On April 6, 2019, at approximately 7:00 p.m., an adult male victim parked his vehicle along the side of Arby’s restaurant located at 3777 Midway Drive, in San Diego. When the victim parked his vehicle, he inadvertently cut off another driver. The victim went inside the Arby’s and got into an argument with the other driver (suspect). During the argument, the suspect punched the victim eight times in the head. When the victim fell down on the ground, the suspect stomped oh his head with his feet. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for an orbital fracture. The suspect fled the area in an unknown vehicle. 

Suspect’s Description: 

The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 30-years-old, muscular build, short hair with the sides and back of his head shaved, was wearing a long sleeved black Nike shirt, black shorts, and black tennis shoes with white soles.

Jaime Santana (A.K.A. Jaime Heriberto Santana) (27) is a local fugitive with an outstanding $100,000 warrant for failing to register as a sex offender.  Santana has a prior conviction for conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of children.  Santana is known to frequent the Spring Valley and Carlsbad areas.

 

Felony Assault Solved

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Northern Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects involved in a felony assault in the Pacific Beach area. 

On April 1, 2019, at 1:30 a.m., an adult male victim got into an argument with a group of unknown males in front of the Backyard Bar and Grill located at 832 Garnet Avenue, in San Diego. During the argument, one of the males punched the victim three times in his face. The victim walked across the street to get away from the group of males. 

The males followed the victim across the street and repeatedly kicked and punched him while he was lying on the ground. The suspects fled the scene before police arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital and suffered major head trauma including fractures to his face. The victim required reconstructive surgery of his face due to the severity of his injuries.

Farah Abib Jama (42) is wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for failing to comply with the terms and conditions of his parole.  Jama is considered a parolee at large (no bail).  Jama is on Parole for a conviction of mayhem.  Jama has previous convictions for burglary, auto theft, causing a public disturbance, possession of a controlled substance and having sex with a minor.  Jama is known to frequent apartments and nightclubs in downtown San Diego.

Inmate Captured for Escaping from Jail

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego County Fugitive Task Force are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an inmate who escaped from the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility. 

On April 6, 2019, Destiny Guns (A.K.A. Destiny Marie Guns) escaped from the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility in Santee. Sheriff's Deputies last saw Guns at about 5:35 p.m. At about 6:05 p.m., Guns was discovered missing. 

Guns was initially arrested on April 1st for possessing a stolen car. Guns has prior convictions for shoplifting and theft related offenses. 

Guns is described as a White female, 22-years-old, 5'2" tall and weighing 100 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes. She has a tattoo of an elephant skull on her right arm and a tattoo of the word "Grasshopper" on the left side of her upper chest. Guns was last seen wearing blue pants and a white t-shirt or white sports bra.

Eric Percell (A.K.A. Eric Blaine Hinkel) is a local fugitive with a pair of outstanding felony warrants totaling $400,000 for transportation and possession for sales of a controlled substance, possession of brass knuckles, and for causing injury while driving under the influence.  Percell’s prior convictions include resisting arrest, auto theft, possession of stolen property, grand theft, domestic violence, evading police, burglary, and repeated violations of his parole conditions.  Percell is known to frequent the North County coastal areas and Oceanside.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Robbery Unit captured the suspect wanted for a commercial armed robbery of a Shell gas station located in the Golden Hill area of San Diego. 

On January 31, 2019, at 4:26 a.m., an unknown male suspect entered the Shell gas station located at 2484 F Street, in San Diego. The suspect approached the counter and pointed a handgun at the clerk while demanding money from the cash register. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. 

Suspect’s Description: 

The suspect is described as a Black male, 5’05”- 5’06” tall, weighs 200 to 250 lbs., unshaven, wearing a black beanie, black hooded sweatshirt, gloves, black pants, and dark colored tennis shoes with white soles.

Suspect Captured for Commercial Armed Robberies

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Robbery Unit captured the suspect for commercial armed robbery suspect. 

On 12/19/2018, at 10:34 a.m., a male suspect entered the Game Stop store located at 3425 Murphy Canyon Road, in San Diego. The suspect lifted up his shirt and displayed a silver colored revolver in his waistband to the clerk and demanded money from the register. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the store on foot in an unknown direction.

On 12/23/2018, at 9:23 a.m., the same suspect entered the Game Stop store located at 4403 University Avenue, in San Diego. As the suspect was walking towards the counter, an employee recognized the suspect from the robbery on 12/19 at the Murphy Canyon Road location. The employee told another employee to call security. The suspect fled the store on foot in an unknown direction. 

On 12/23/2018, at 11:22 a.m., the same suspect entered the Subway restaurant located at 8080 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., in San Diego. The suspect lifted up his shirt and simulated that he had a gun in his waistband. The suspect demanded cash from the clerk. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the store on foot in an unknown direction. 

Suspect’s Description: 

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 to 35-years-old, 5’7” to 5”9” tall, 180 to 200 lbs. In the first case, the suspect was wearing a white constriction hat, construction glasses, and dark blue or black bandana on his head underneath the hat, black “dickie” style pants, and black tennis shoes with white soles. 

During the second and third case, the suspect wore an Anaheim Angels baseball hat, sunglasses, dark colored shirt with black “Dickie” style pants, and grey tennis shoes. During the third case (Subway), the suspect was wearing an orange construction vest.

Carl Barr is wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for failing to comply with the terms and conditions of his parole (no bail).  Barr is on parole for a conviction of failing to register as a sex offender.  Barr has previous convictions for oral copulation with a minor, auto theft, assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, failing to register as a sex offender, and multiple parole violations.  Barr is possibly living as a transient and is known to frequent the El Cajon area.

Kiana Young is wanted by the San Diego Fugitive Task Force for an outstanding felony ($100,000 bail) warrant for her arrest.  The warrant is for charges of robbery, criminal threats, and possession of a controlled substance.  Young has no previous criminal convictions.  Young is known to frequent the South Bay area including National City and may be living out of hotels. 

 

Suspect Wanted for Lewd & Lascivious Acts with Minors

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Child Abuse Unit are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate the suspect responsible for committing lewd and lascivious acts with two minors at the Kaiser Zion Hospital in San Diego. 

On August 25, 2018, at approximately 10:40 a.m., an unknown adult male suspect got into an elevator inside the Kaiser Zion Hospital located at 4647 Zion Avenue, in San Diego. Two 13-year-old females were already inside the elevator when the suspect entered it. While inside the elevator, the suspect attempted to hug and kiss both victims. The suspect did kiss one of the victim’s hair and told both of them that they “looked pretty.” The suspect told both victims that he wanted to have sex with them. 

The elevator stopped on the main lobby floor, where the suspect got out. The suspect was last seen leaving the lobby area and headed towards the parking lot. The victims reported the crime to family who then called the San Diego Police Department. The suspect had fled the area before officers arrived.
