UP TO A $1000 REWARD
San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Mid-City Division are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate three unknown suspects wanted for assault with a deadly weapon and robbery in the North Park area of San Diego.
On 12/23/2018, at approximately 1:40 a.m., a 35-year-old male and 24-year-old male were walking along the north sidewalk of 3000 University Avenue when they were confronted by three unknown suspects. The three suspects had been yelling obscenities at two unknown females just before the confrontation. All three suspects began punching and kicking victim # 1 (V-1) multiple times until he fell to the ground. As V-1 laid on the ground, all three suspects kicked V-1 multiple times in his head and facial area. Victim # 2 (V-2) attempted to intervene and all three suspects punched and kicked him multiple times. The suspects stopped attacking the victims once they were confronted by bouncers from a nearby business. During the attack, V-1’s wallet and V-2’s iPhone were stolen.
V-1 was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, including a facial fracture and facial abrasions. V-2 was also transported to a local hospital for lacerations to his face and head as well as a dislocated elbow.
All three suspects appear to be Hispanic males in their 20’s.
