On 12/23/2018, at approximately 1:40 a.m., a 35-year-old male and 24-year-old male were walking along the north sidewalk of 3000 University Avenue when they were confronted by three unknown suspects. The three suspects had been yelling obscenities at two unknown females just before the confrontation. All three suspects began punching and kicking victim # 1 (V-1) multiple times until he fell to the ground. As V-1 laid on the ground, all three suspects kicked V-1 multiple times in his head and facial area. The suspects stopped attacking the victims once they were confronted by bouncers from a nearby business. During the attack, V-1’s wallet and V-2’s iPhone were stolen.

V-1 was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, including a facial fracture and facial abrasions. V-2 was also transported to a local hospital for lacerations to his face and head as well as a dislocated elbow.
