Unidentified Suspect Wanted for Attempted Sexual Assault

 San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate an unknown suspect wanted for an attempted sexual assault.  

 Detectives said that on Tuesday May 14, 2013 at approximately 1015 hours, a 61- year-old woman was walking westbound up the ramp to the Georgia Street overpass over University Avenue in North Park.  As she got close to the top of the ramp, she was approached by a Hispanic male.  The woman attempted to walk around the man who made lewd comments and bear-hugged her.  The woman fought back and broke free.  The suspect then fled westbound down the ramp to University Avenue.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 35-40 years old, 5’-9”, wiry build, ruddy complexion, short neatly cropped hair, thick mustache, wearing a black ball cap, black sunglasses, black and white collared shirt or jacket, black pants and black sneakers with white trim.
