San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the San Diego Police Department Homicide Unit continue to look for leads on the unsolved murder of Andre Wilson.
On January 3, 2012, at approximately 8:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of 33rd Street. When officers arrived, they found a male lying in the front yard of a residence on the east side of the street. The male appeared to have suffered at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics responded and rendered medical aid; however, the male died at the scene.
The preliminary investigation has revealed the victim, later identified as Andre Wilson, was standing on the sidewalk talking to the occupants of a vehicle when the shooting occurred. After being shot, Wilson fell to the ground and crawled a short distance where he collapsed in front of a nearby residence.
After the shooting, the suspect vehicle was last seen driving north on 33rd Street.
