Up to $1,000 Reward Offered

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Northern Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) involved in at least eight incidents in which unknown objects were thrown at and/or shot at moving vehicles in the Pacific Beach area.

Sometime between November 2018 and March 2019, there have been eight incidents where victims reported unknown objects being thrown or shot at them while driving in the vicinity of West Mission Bay Drive and Ingraham Street.

All incidents occurred between the hours of 9:45 p.m. and 12:10 a.m. The vehicles involved sustained damages throughout multiple parts of the vehicle; either to the windshield and/or body. Each vehicle sustained damages estimated between $300 and $5,000. Two drivers sustained small lacerations from flying glass.

There is no suspect(s) information at this time as the area is dark due to road construction nearby. Investigators are asking the public for any information that could lead to a suspect being identified. Investigators are asking motorists in the area to use caution at night and to notify police of any similar incidents.

Anyone with information on the identity of a suspect(s) is asked to call SDPD’s Northern Division at (858) 552-1700 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477.
