FBI and Carlsbad Police Seek "Scarecrow Bandit"/CAPTURED

scarecrow 1 The FBI and Carlsbad Police  Department are seeking the public's assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Chase Bank, located  at 7176 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad, California, on Thursday, March 13, 2014.

On Thursday, March 13, 2014,  at approximately 6:10p.m., the Chase Bank, located at 7176 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad, California, was robbed by an unknown male wearing a scarecrow type mask, described as a cloth material with eye holes cut out.

At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank and walked up to the victim teller's window and made a verbal demand for money.  Another employee in the bank suspecting something unusual was happening  approached the victim teller at which time the robber demanded money from this teller.  The robber ended up getting money from both tellers.  The robber was last seen running south bound on Avenida Encinas.  No weapon was observed and no injuries reported.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

Clothing:                     Gray hooded long sleeve sweatshirt with dark horizontal stripes, gloves, tan pants and wore a tan colored cloth mask with eyeholes cut out

 

Solana Beach US Bank Robber Still Sought; Suspect wore a pesticide mask/CAPTURED

The FBI and San Diego Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the U.S. Bank branch located inside the Vons grocery store at 931 Lomas Santa Fe Drive in Solana Beach, California, on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. SolanaBeachVons1

On Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the U.S. Bank branch located inside the Vons grocery store at 931 Lomas Santa Fe Drive in Solana Beach, California, was robbed by an unknown male.

At the time of the robbery, the robber approached the victim teller and made a verbal demand for money in specific denominations. Upon receiving a sum of money the unknown male exited the store in an unknown direction. No weapon was observed and no injuries reported.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Height: Approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall
  • Weight: Approximately 170 lbs.
  • Clothing: Dark sunglasses, orange long-sleeved collarless shirt, light blue hard hat, and wearing a pesticide like mask

Unknown Suspect Wanted for UCSD Price Center Arson/CAPTURED

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Metro Arson Strike Team (MAST) are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate an unknown female suspect wanted for arson. UCSD arson

On December 3, 2013, two fires occurred at UCSD’s Price Center.  At the time of the fires the center was occupied by several hundred students.  Surveillance video gathered from the scene revealed two female suspects entering the Price Center.  Shortly after entering the Price Center, the suspects started a fire on the first level and fled the location.  A separate camera captured the suspects re-entering the Price Center on the second level wearing different clothing. Once again the suspects started another fire with an open flame and fled the scene. The flames were extinguished by UCSD Staff and no injuries were reported.

In a follow up investigation, detectives identified UCSD student HOAI VI HOLLY THUY NGUYEN as one of the suspects responsible for the arsons.  On February 4, 2014, at approximately 1245 hours, NGUYEN was contacted and arrested on campus for the above arsons.

The second female suspect has yet to be identified.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. The felony arson restricted reward fund offers up to an additional $9,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case. Public Assistance Needed To Identify Wells Fargo Bank Robber/CAPTURED

The FBI and San Diego County Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Wells Fargo Bank located at 10535 Craftsman Way, San Diego, California, on Thursday, May 30, 2013.

            On Thursday, May 30, 2013, at approximately 3:05 p.m. the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 10535 Craftsman Way, San Diego, California, was robbed by an unknown male.  At the time of the robbery, the unknown male entered the bank and pushed a bank employee out of the way who was in the middle of conducting a transaction.  The unknown male made a verbal demand of money from the victim teller.  The robber threatened to harm the teller and others if he did not receive any money.  After receiving a sum of money the robber exited the bank.

            Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

                        Height:            Approximately 5’8” tall

                        Weight:           Approximately 160 lbs.

                        Build:              Slim

                        Age:                Mid 20’s

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male who attempted to rob the Bank of America, located at 450 B Street, Suite 100, San Diego, California, on Friday, May 10, 2013.

On Friday, May 10, 2013, at approximately 12:40 p.m. an unknown male attempted to rob the Bank of America, located at 450 B Street, Suite 100, San Diego, California. A short time later the same suspect is believed to be responsible for robbing the North Island Federal Credit Union, located at 225 Broadway, San Diego, California, at approximately 12:56 p.m. In both instances the robber presented a demand note.

Witnesses described the robber as follows:

The robber walked out of the bank without any money.
