- Recent News
San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Criminal Intelligence Unit are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect for a series of hate crime vandalism cases that occurred in the Bankers Hill, Golden Hill, Hillcrest, and North Park Neighborhoods in the City of San Diego.
The cases began in December of 2024 and have continued until the most recent cases in September of 2025. The cases have included graffiti to several churches and religious shrines of different denominations in the above-listed neighborhoods within the City of San Diego. The graffiti contained slurs targeting specific religions where the spray-paintings have occurred.
Surveillance cameras on each of the properties captured footage of the suspect. The suspect always arrives on foot during the early-morning hours, completes the vandalism using black spray-paint, and leaves on foot. The victims have been the target on numerous previous incidents.
