Suspect Wanted for Felony Hit and Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a pedestrian with serious injuries in the Mountain View area of San Diego.

On Monday, December 19, 2022 at about 9:06 a.m., a 73-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Logan Avenue in a northbound direction at 45th Street in the crosswalk on the east edge of the intersection. A vehicle was turning left from southbound 45th Street to eastbound Logan Avenue and struck the pedestrian. The vehicle fled the scene eastbound on Logan Avenue. The pedestrian suffered a fractured pelvis and fractured knee as a result of the collision.

Investigators were able to locate surveillance images of the suspect’s vehicle. Investigators are asking the public to contact them if they can help identify the vehicle and driver.

Vehicle Description:

A newer model silver 4-door sedan with silver spoke rims and a sunroof. The vehicle appears to be a newer model Hyundai Sonata. There is possible damage to the center of the hood and windshield.
