Suspect Wanted for Hit and Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a bicyclist with serious injuries in the Ocean Beach area of San Diego.

On Monday, May 9, 2022 at about 11:28 a.m., a 45-year-old male bicyclist was crossing 2000 Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in a westbound direction. A vehicle was traveling northbound and struck the bicyclist. The vehicle briefly stopped, then fled the scene northbound on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and then eastbound on Brighton Avenue. The bicyclist has serious injuries sustained from the collision.

Investigators were able to locate surveillance images of the suspect’s vehicle. Investigators are asking the public to contact them if they can help identify the vehicle and driver.

Vehicle Description:

A newer model white 4-door crossover style SUV with silver alloy wheels. It may have a partial plate starting with “8YN****”. The vehicle will most likely have damage on its front right corner.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
