San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate the suspects responsible for the murders of Joel Branch and Gerald Morris.   On May 25, 2015, Joel Branch and Gerald Morris were shot and killed in the 5300 block of Groveland Drive in Valencia Park.  A third male was also shot a block away, probably by the same suspects.  The suspects were described as two Black males who were on foot.

One Year Anniversary of the Murder of Brandon Keiser

On March 22, 2016, at approximately 10:05 p.m., Oceanside police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of S. Freeman Street.  Officers arrived on scene and found the victim, Brandon Keiser, a 35-year-old Oceanside resident lying on the sidewalk in front of 410 S. Freeman Street.  Keiser was suffering from at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives from the Crimes of Violence Unit responded to the scene and spoke to witnesses who reported hearing an argument followed by gunshots.  Detectives are investigating the possibility that Keiser and the suspect knew each other and at this point, do not believe it was a random act.

Three Year Anniversary of the Alberto Sanchez Homicide

Up to a $1,000 Reward

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit continue to look for leads in the unsolved homicide of Alberto Sanchez. 

On Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at approximately 6:00 a.m., San Diego police officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting at the intersection of 41st St. and Orange Ave. Officers found 45-year-old Alberto Sanchez lying in the driver’s seat of his vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso.  Paramedics responded to the scene and transported him to a local hospital where he later died.  

The preliminary investigation revealed a male in his 20’s on a bicycle fired several rounds striking Sanchez. The suspect was described as a dark skinned male wearing a dark colored sweatshirt with jeans.
