Unknown Suspect Wanted for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Robbery

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Western Division are asking for the public’s assistance to help identify and locate the suspect responsible for an assault with a deadly weapon and robbery, which occurred in the Hillcrest area of San Diego. 

On June 25, 2021, at 12:25 a.m., a 31-year-old male victim was walking along the sidewalk of 3700 6th Avenue, in San Diego, when he was approached by an unknown suspect. The suspect demanded the victim’s property, but the victim resisted. The suspect shot the victim in the leg and stole various items from him. The suspect was last seen running northbound on 3700 6th Avenue and may have fled in a dark colored vehicle similar to a Toyota Corolla. The victim was transported to a local hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries sustained from the gunshot. 

Suspect’s Description: 

The suspect is described as a White male, possibly in his 20’s, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt with a logo on the front, gray sweatpants, white socks, and dark colored sandals. The suspect may have fled in a dark colored vehicle similar to a Toyota Corolla.

Anyone with information on the identity and or location of the suspect is asked to call the San Diego Police Department’s Western Division at (619) 692-4834 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
