Unsolved Homicide: Sonny Carillo Murder

On July 29, 2011, at approximately 11:24 p.m., officers responded to a fight at an apartment complex located at 47th and Castana Streets. Police officers arrived and discovered a Hispanic male suffering from a stab wound. The victim, Sonny Carrillo, was transported to a local trauma hospital for emergency treatment, but died due to his injuries.

One of the suspects in the murder has been identified as 21 year-old Julio Mendez. Mendez fled the scene on foot, shortly after the stabbing occurred. It is unknown where Mendez is at this time. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Mendez is Hispanic, 5’8, 180 lbs.  He has the numbers ‘32’ and a spider tattooed on the left side of his neck and blue lips tattooed on his left cheek. His left fingers are also tattooed.

7 Year Anniversary of the Murder of Daniel Alexander

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Escondido Police Department's Crimes of Violence Unit are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted for murder. 

Daniel Alexander was murdered on July 4th, 2009. According to witnesses, Daniel Alexander was at his girlfriend's house in the 500 block of South Vine Street when he was confronted by several hispanic males who where at a party next door. Daniel was shot and killed during the confrontation and Federico Ramos is wanted in connection to the murder. 

Federico Ramos is described as a 36-ycar-old Hispanic male. 5'4" tall and weighing approximately 15O pounds.

Alejandro Ibarra Wanted for Sexual Assault

Department's Sex Crimes Unit are asking: for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted for sexual assault. 

On May 27th, 2016, at approximately 4:53 p.m., a male suspect, identified as
Alejandro Avita Ibarra, illegally entered the residence of an adult female in the 3900 block of T Street in the Mountain View neighborhood of San Diego. Ibarra grabbed the
victim inside the front entrance of her residence and ottempttd to sexually ouoult her. A fight ensued and Ibarra is believed to hove sustained a severe injury to the fingers of one of his hands, likely his left hand. Ibarra/led the scene and is now wanted for the assault. 

Alejandro Avila Ibarra is described as a Hispanic male, 47-years-old, medium build, 5'8" tall and approximately 180 lbs. At the time of the assault Ibarra was wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and an unknown color sweater.

His criminal history includes arson, child molest, multiple parole violations and failure to register as a sex offender.

He is a transient who has been known to frequent Downtown San Diego and Mission Valley.

Wanted 2006 Homicide Suspect: Amir Ekmekcic

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the San Diego Police Department Homicide Unit continue to look for leads to help locate homicide suspect Amir Ekmekcic.

 On May 11, 2006, AMIR EKMEKCIC was involved in a verbal argument with the victim, Luis Alejandro Sanchez and his friend at a parking lot located in the 2700 block of Island Avenue in the Grant Hill community of San Diego, California. Mr. Sanchez, his friend, and EKMEKCIC walked away in different directions. EKMEKCIC returned with a handgun and shot Mr. Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez was transported to the hospital where he died. AMIR EKMEKCIC fled the scene in his vehicle and is wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder.   

EKMEKCIC has been described as having a Hispanic appearance and is known to have associated with Hispanic street gang members. EKMEKCIC is further known to have frequented the community of Logan Heights and the city of Lemon Grove, California.

On May 8, 1988, the victim Carlos Pacheco invited his cousin MELVIN PACHECO and other friends to his residence located at 3633 Marlborough Avenue in the Fairmont Village community of San Diego, California. Carlos and Melvin PACHECO began arguing and physically fighting. During the fight, Melvin PACHECO retrieved a knife from the kitchen and stabbed his cousin Carlos. Carlos exited the apartment where he collapsed and died. Melvin PACHECO fled the scene. MELVIN ANDRES PACHECO is wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers is working with the San Diego County Sheriffs Fugitive Task Force to find and arrest 23-year-old Janice Macedonio. She has a no bail felony arrest warrant for murder, as well as a $50,000 bail felony arrest warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle. 

Macedonio is wanted for the 2014 murder of Rubeo Bodden. He was found dead on March 2, 2014 inside his transmission repair shop located at 1219 N. Santa Fe Avenue in Vista. 

Janice Macedonio is a Hispanic woman standing 5' tall and weighing about 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Macedonio is known to frequent the Vista area, but detectives think she may be hiding in Mexico.

Suspect Still Sought in Murder of Jose Paulo Hernandez-Ulloa in 1989

Suspect Domingo Gomez is accused of killing victim Jose Paulo Hernandez-Ulloa inside his home in the 3300 block of C Street back on January 17, 1989.

Detectives say Gomez, along with this brother Austolio Gomez, shot and stabbed Hernandez-Ulloa and then dumped his body at a nearby location.

In 1990, detectives arrested and eventually convicted Austolio in connection with his part in this murder.

Domingo, however, fled and has never been caught.

To this day, he’s still wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of Hernandez-Ulloa. More than two decades after the murder, police continue to search for him.

According to investigators, Domingo may have initially fled to Las Vegas or Mexico. He may originally be from Michoacan, Mexico.

Police describe him as a Mexican national, 5-foot-6, 140 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and several scars and tattoos, including the word “Love” tattooed on his left hand, the name “Helda” tattoed on his left arm and a dragon tattoo on his upper back. 

Detectives say that over the years, the suspect has used different birthdates including March 8, 1970, March 17, 1990 and March 7, 1990. His actual age is unknown.
