Suspect Wanted for Commercial Armed Robbery Up to $1,000 Reward Offered

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Robbery Unit are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect responsible for a commercial armed robbery that occurred near the City Heights area of San Diego.
On March 8th, 2025, at approximately 3:22 p.m., an unknown male suspect entered the 7-Eleven located at 4350 University Ave, in San Diego. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of merchandise. During the confrontation with the employees, the suspect punched one of them and brandished a knife. The suspect attempted to take the cash register but was unsuccessful. The suspect fled southbound from the store on foot.
Suspect’s Description
The suspect is described as a Black male, 25 to 30-years-old, wearing black shorts, a black hooded sweatshirt, and had a black Jansport brand backpack. The suspect's shoes resemble the Nike Air Max 97 (USA colorway). The suspect has unknown tattoo designs on the top of both of his hands.
