Unknown Suspect Wanted for Arson

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Metro Arson Strike Team (MAST) are asking assistance from the public to help identify and locate the suspect who is responsible for intentionally setting a fire, which took place in the San Ysidro area of San Diego. 

On August 6, 2021, at 7:26 p.m., an unknown suspect intentionally set fire to the front doors of Southwestern College Higher Education Center located at 460 W. San Ysidro Boulevard, in San Diego. At the time of the fire, there was an employee inside the building, however they were uninjured. The damage caused by the fire is estimated at approximately $5,000. 

Suspect’s Description: 

The suspect is described as a light skinned adult male wearing a white baseball hat, black long-sleeved shirt, dark jeans, and black sneakers. The suspect arrived at the location driving a black 4-door Dodge Charger with red racing stripes, red fender hash marks above the front wheel wells, and black 5-spoke style rims.

Anyone with information on the identity or location of the suspect is asked to call the Metro Arson Strike Team at (619) 236-6240 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
