Suspect Wanted for Felony Hit and Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision resulting in the death of a 77-year-old victim in the Barrio Logan area of San Diego. 

On January 2, 2022, at about 7:00 p.m., a 77-year-old male pedestrian was crossing at the intersection of Logan Avenue and Sampson Street, when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle initially stopped but then later fled the scene. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

On January 12, 2022, the victim died from the injuries sustained in the collision. 

Suspect’s Vehicle Info: 

The suspect’s vehicle is a gray 2015 Chevrolet Malibu with an Arizona Temporary license plate of U511847. The driver was a light skinned male approximately 30 to 40- years-old.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
