Suspect Wanted for Felony Hit and Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision resulting in serious injuries to a 40-year-old victim in the Egger Highlands area of San Diego.

On July 26, 2022, at about 8:15 p.m., a 40-year-old female pedestrian and a 12-year- old female pedestrian were crossing 1500 Palm Avenue at 16th Avenue in a marked crosswalk, when they were struck by a vehicle making a left turn from 16th Avenue to Palm Avenue. The female driver of the vehicle initially stopped, but then returned to the vehicle and fled the scene.

The 40-year-old victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The 12-year-old victim sustained minor injuries.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as dark colored small SUV with damage to the driver side front headlight.
