San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision resulting in the death of a 60-year-old victim in the Ocean Beach area of San Diego. 

On May 21, 2021, at about 11:02 p.m., a 60-year-old male had fallen and was laying in the north alley of 4800 Niagara Avenue in San Diego. As the male was laying in the alley, he was run over by an unknown suspect who was driving a white full sized lifted SUV eastbound in the alley. The driver did not stop to check on the victim or call for help and fled the scene immediately. 

The victim sustained serious injuries and despite life-saving efforts, died at the scene. 

Suspect’s Vehicle Info: 

The suspect’s vehicle is described as an early 2000’s model white Chevy Suburban or GMC Yukon. It is believed that the vehicle did not sustain any damage from the collision. The vehicle is lifted, has a sunroof, shiny silver rims and side-trim molding.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
