Suspect Wanted for Felony Hit and Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a 70-year-old male bicyclist with serious injuries in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego.

On December 26, 2020, at about 12:51 p.m., an unidentified truck made a right turn onto Gold Coast Drive from Camino Ruiz. The truck struck a bicyclist who was in the crosswalk. The driver of the truck did not stop to render aid or call 911 and was last seen driving southbound on Ambassador Avenue. The 70-year-old victim sustained a fractured right femur and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Vehicle Description:

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white colored 1997-2000 Toyota Tacoma with a camper shell. The vehicle will have front end damage.
