Suspect Wanted for Hit and Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision resulting in serious injury to a 35-year-old victim in the Hillcrest area of San Diego.

On August 13, 2022, at 1:37 a.m., a 35-year-old female pedestrian was southbound in the west crosswalk of University Avenue and Vermont Street when she was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on University Avenue. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and fled the scene.

The 35-year-old victim sustained a serious injury to her hand and was transported to a local hospital.

Suspect’s Vehicle Info:

Based on witness statements and video surveillance footage, the suspect’s vehicle is a small dark colored SUV, possibly an older model Honda CRV. The suspect’s vehicle will have little to no damage from the collision.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
