Three Year Anniversary of the Unsolved Homicide of Armando Torres Jr.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit are continuing to ask for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of 31 year-old Armando Torres Jr. 

On May 29, 2019, at 9:34 p.m., the San Diego Police Communications Center received multiple 9-1-1 calls regarding a shooting occurring during a soccer game being played at the Willie Henderson Sports Complex, located at 1035 S. 45th Street. 

When officers arrived at the park, they discovered Armando Torres Jr. suffering from traumatic gunshot wounds to the upper body. Officers began CPR until they were relieved by San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel. Torres was pronounced deceased at the scene minutes later.
