Suspect Wanted for Hit and Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a pedestrian with serious injuries in the City Heights/Castle area of San Diego.

On Friday, May 20, 2022 at about 2:25 p.m., a 25-year-old male pedestrian was crossing 3700 Central Avenue in a westbound direction. A vehicle was traveling northbound and struck the pedestrian. The vehicle fled the scene northbound on Central Avenue and then westbound on Wightman Street. The pedestrian has a serious injury sustained from the collision.

Investigators were able to locate surveillance images of the suspect’s vehicle. Investigators are asking the public to contact them if they can help identify the vehicle and driver.

Vehicle Description: A newer model white 4-door possibly newer dark Jeep Cherokee with upgraded dark alloy spoke rims and tinted side windows.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
