San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of 16-year-old Curtis Williamson.
On March 26, 1997, San Diego Police Officers responded to Crown Point Shores for a report of a large fight involving 20 to 50 people. Investigators learned during the fight, Curtis Williamson and a friend of his fled into the water. Williamson drowned in the water. The San Diego County Medical Examiner has determined this manner of death was a homicide.
Despite the extensive follow-up investigation, which included interviews of numerous people present during the altercation, the case remains unsolved. Investigators and the victim's family are asking that anyone with information regarding this case to contact the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit or Crime Stoppers.
